The highly anticipated new novel from the international bestselling author of Sometimes I Lie, Alice Feeney’s new novel is her most twisted and nerve-wracking thriller yet.

Aimee Sinclair: the actress everyone thinks they know but can’t remember where from. But I know exactly who you are. I know what you’ve done. And I am watching you.

When Aimee comes home and discovers her husband is missing, she doesn’t seem to know what to do or how to act. The police think she’s hiding something and they’re right, she is – but perhaps not what they thought. Aimee has a secret she’s never shared, and yet, she suspects that someone knows. As she struggles to keep her career and sanity intact, her past comes back to haunt her in ways more dangerous than she could have ever imagined.

I Know Who You Are will leave your heart pounding and your pulse racing. This is the most twisted thriller you’ll read all year.

Review:

‘I was that girl you thought you knew, but you couldn’t remember where from. I think you’ll remember me now.’

With a celebrity endorsement running over the cover of her second release, author Alice Feeney definitely wants the audience to know that she is force to be reckoned with in the psychological thriller genre. Following on her from successful debut, Sometimes I Lie, I Know Who You Are is another riveting story of lies, deceit, misunderstandings and deception.

Feeney’s lead protagonist in I Know Who You Are is Aimee Sinclair. Aimee is an up and coming actress who finds herself in a rather troubling bind when her husband is declared missing and she becomes the number one suspect in the eyes of the police. With Aimee’s suspect behaviour adding fuel to the fire and a lack of case leads, things look dire for Aimee. As Aimee’s mental state deteriorates, her past begins to haunt her and a big secret she has tried to keep concealed threatens to derail her life. Aimee must gain the upper hand over her out of control life, but this is a dangerous exercise.

Back in July 2018, via a review of Alice Feeney’ first novel, Sometimes I Lie, I confessed that Feeney really messed with my head. This admission is quite apt, as Feeney definitely messed with my head yet again in I Know Who You Are. This is another tale of the past and present colliding in spectacular circumstances, along with the weight of secrets of the past bearing down on the current day events. I Know Who You Are is an addictive read, that demands to be read in one sitting.

I really enjoyed Alice Feeney’s first novel and I have been looking forward to reading her second book. Feeney is obviously aware of the amount on offer in the genre in which she writes (thriller and psychological suspense books) and as a result, Feeney has released a book that is a break from the norm in this crowded field. Expect to be misled, fooled, perplexed and thrown from pillar to post in this latest offering from Feeney. I Know Who You Are is well written, carefully plotted and filled with complex characters. I didn’t trust myself or the protagonists, so it was an eerie feeling at times reading this book. The ending came as a surprise, but I’m not completely sure I bought into it.

All in all I Know Who You Are is a shady and turbulent thriller, that definitely travels in the dark recesses of your mind. Defined by short chapters that close in a hook, readers will be hard pressed to put this consuming thriller down.
